Oh Yes,  Let's see people.  Which is most costly - replacing two tires on a fun to drive, not everyone has vehicle or replacing an entire car that can only go 300 miles before needing a recharge and can burn up at any time?  The answer goes a long way to determine your ability to do common tasks.

OK  Thanks for the replies.  I am using steel lines and it looks like my flaring tool won't do it right.  One leak is at the factory flared end of the line.with no bends anywhere near it.  Wish I had left the old lines alone.

Years ago K&N listed oval elements for industrial applications that were very close to the FE measurements.  Not quite as long and wide but close enough.  Available in different heights up to 6" tall.

Now that the tunnelwedge is available again, given the design of the intake would running progressive linkage be advisable?  Being that the only passage between the pods is relatively small compared to other FE intakes it would seem that the rear cylinders would be starved for fuel until the rear carb starts to open.  How is everyone orienting their carbs on their tunnelwedge?

Brent,  Don't know what Bullet's situation is but if they decide to dump them cheap because of the defect, it wouldn't take much to machine a pin for them.  Someone with a small lathe or cylindrical grinder could easily make the bigger cam end and standard timing gear end.  Just a thought.

Yes, the roller setup is more expensive than a solid cam but what price do you put on peace of mind?  We have all heard the horror stories of wiped out lobes and mushroomed lifters even though everything was done correctly.  It was definitely worse in the past because of substandard materials but there are still tales of it happening today.  After spending the kind of money it takes to build any engine, the roller can be considered insurance.  With some homework you should be able to find a profile to fit your needs either in hydraulic or solid roller.

Slow on this end too BUT remember that the valuable information we receive for free is worth a little slow down.  We all have to deal with ultra slow and broken chebbies on the road and we just grin and pass them.  And we think we have it bad with a slow load up on the site.
