My Apologies - Thanks for your support
« on: April 26, 2023, 09:39:30 PM »
All -- I recently got hurt and broke my arm. Not going to be a big deal, it will heal soon. But, As one of your supporters and parts suppliers I am falling behind on your orders. It is hard to machine and assemble in a cast. I will get 100% in a month.. I am burning the midnight oil where possible and still turning wrenches. Thanks to those who have been understanding or that have personally reached out for nothing other than to say get well. This forum and FE community is special.

 Thanks, Doug aka pumpbldr

Get better soon.  You're a real asset to our community.
You were the first to alert us when Melling sent defective pumps into the market and your actions saved a lot of engines!

Doug, sorry to hear it, hate to see people injured.  Get well soon.  Are you shutting down for a bit to heal?

That sucks.  I broke my elbow at the beginning of my spring rush one year and the time wearing the brace was only half the battle.  It took 6 months to get full mobility back and years before there wasn't a painful hitch in my giddiup.

Good Luck with your recovery

Hate to hear about your arm.  Guess it would be tough wrenching with a wounded wing.  You are a major player in the FE world and anyone who knows you or has dealt with you knows you are a stand up guy.  Wish others were like you but that makes you stand out.  Still tearing up central NC with that Genesis short block I bought from you years ago.  Don't overdue - your customers will understand.

Spent a couple months in a leg cast myself, tore my Achilles tendon completely in half in October. No surgery, they pull your foot down to push the tendon together and cast it that way, but you can NOT walk on it that way. Later a walking boot, now doing leg presses to build up the atrophied calf muscles, but walking pretty good. Sucks when you are immobile an have stuff to do!

From my perspective, and direct involvement when buying parts and getting advice, you get a big fat free pass based on how well you have treated me and conducted yourself in the past.....and my story is not unique when people get to talking about you and your business.

Heal up, get back to work, and keep being the great guy you are.....The rest will figure itself out.
