Way back in the days of cruising my '69 F100, I would get people that would ask if my 428CJ is a 289.  I'd say "Yup".   This side is 289 ci and the other side is too  :D

Now have parts needed.

Current the block and rotating assy at a friends shop
For bore, balance etc.

I do have the heavy wall stainless to start the header build
For turbos. That will start when I get block back.

Started back on my orange 427 truck to finally get it done.
It will be 18 yrs since I drove it last on Feb 1st.

What do you intend to use for a transmission?

KS

Kaase gave me a name of a local place and it was suggested to use the Billet TH400 along with a Atlas Transfer Case. Not much in Ford line that will hold the Power. Hoping for 1000 RWHP

No final decision on trans yet but will be using the Atlas Transfer Case.

Any input on a Ford trans/builder that will hold the power I am open on that.

Frank Merkyl runs about that in a race car with a c6
If you are really interested in staying Ford transmission maybe drop him a line.  He's a 429/460 guy so I think he'd really like your project.

Remember too that your 1,000 RWHP will never see the ground if you're using street tires.  Creating tire smoke doesn't stress a driveline very much!  Many Jag rear ends in Cobra replicas will attest to that fact.

I wouldn't worry about an all-out drag race box.  A C-6 with the modern goodies and a good valve body will serve you well.  Given the ample torque that engine will put out, you probably won't want too much stall in the converter either.
A careful study of failure will yield the ingredients for success.

Flywheel hp should be 1400-1500hp
Never heard of a C-6 that would hold that much power for long. Especially in a
4x4 that has some weight to it.

Kaase says combo I have less turbos will make
Around 800. This will be geared more towards
Daily driver vs anything race oriented

Being 4x4 should cure most traction issues. At least
Over 80 mph...  lol

I would guess it's a ATI's new T400 case , you can order it as a 2 or 3 speed , with or without Lock Up Clutch , it does look sweet and probably what you need at that power level

Has anybody tried a street Lenco at elevated horsepower levels? 14.7 pounds of boost will theoretically double power and really high boost is as simple as turning the knob on the wastegate modulator when you can't use all that's available.
