Cheers Heo it is slow going but inside is almost finished.

Found a few things unique to an A/C 66 fairlane there is a brace on the drivers side that goes from the firewall down to the handbrake mounting hole a factory A/C one must be wider near the vent duct fits not too hard a fix if you can weld and bend some sheet metal other one is the ashtray must be over 1 inch shorter in an A/C car I will cut shorten and weld mine soon.

All vacuum and heater hoses are finished still waiting on compressor bracket to come back from the chrome platers before I can start fitting A/C hoses and condenser dryer

Started to get some more work done on the fairlane's A/C system

Low mount compressor bracket needed to be changed to fit my set up and get all the belts to line up and run true but it is all done now. Next major job is remaking the radiator fan shroud I need to change my fan from left had side fan mounted top and right hand side fan mounted low to left low and right high.

I will add if anyone was thinking of fitting one of these low mount brackets I would say get one that is not welded I bought 2. One welded and one not welded the welded bracket would not work for my set up.

Here are some photos of the set up

Sanden unit?

Ash trays different, yes. Perhaps due to proximity of original center vent duct work. Looks like some clean work there.

Sanden 508

The ash tray hits the demister-floor vent

I will try to do a list once every thing is finished of parts I think people forget about but are a must to grab off a car if you found a wreck with A/C and wanted to fit it into a non A/C car.
Like the ash tray, A/C blower motor switch, dash to hand brake brace, A/C blower motor switch wiring harness. To name some of the main items that will save you time and money.

That’s a good idea. There is probably something like that on the FCA site.

When you say "these" are you referring to the ones offered by Tyler Blankenship? I have one and am hoping to fit it next year.

Yes I do mean Tyler's bracket.

My set up was is very unique and I was very room limited if I had more room my install would not of been as much work. I have had my radiator fan shroud finished for a few weeks now it was a big job. Here are some photos of new fan shroud it pulls apart now so it can be removed with-out pulling off the water pump that is how little room I have.

Next big job is relocating engine and trans coolers and mounting condenser.

Thanks Chris I don't think you will have too much problems.

Because I was so tight for forward room I had to run my compressor belt on the front pulley grove on the compressor. My compressor is flat on the out side bracket and I had to move the rear bracket back.

All the the photos I have seen they space the compressor forward like Tyler said they need to be custom fit that is why after fitting one I would suggest people to get the non welded bracket to give you the most options to custom fit it to your car/truck.
