I got an American Eagle (very American-looking box and Eagle) about 4-5 years ago for our 64 Gal, about $200.
Aluminum, car runs 10-15 degrees cooler, total bolt-in from brackets to trans cooler lines.
I painted the tanks black & nobody even notices its in there.

How much difference is there between a 64 galaxie radiator and a 65 one. The radiator supply house has sent the wrong one twice now.  Think I’ll just get a refund and move on now.

What year do you have? 64 or 65? I have a 65 radiator laying on the shelf that is dang near new.

Where are you? The North East?  Find another radiator shop. Because I wanted to keep the FOMOCO tanks and the 67 Shelbys lower tank is different than '68 on I had my OE re-cored. It was done beautifully for 235.00.  I haven't had a single issue and my heathy street driven FE in 100+ degree north Texas heat stays cool.
US Radiator looks to have a good product but are very expensive for what they are.

U.S. Radiator for any older brass and copper replacement.  I have used them with great success in my '51 F-1, '62 Monterey, and a few other cars I have built for other people ('47 Ford, '32 Plymouth, etc).  Radiators are too important to use cheap E-bay crap and I think an aluminum unit looks completely wrong in any older car.

I have a 1965 galaxie.  The 3red radiator that Radiator supply house sent me was a champion radiator. Guess a $250 markup is good bussiness.  Anyways I sent that back and I'm currently waiting for one to show up from us radiator.  Im hoping this will be the end if it.  Last piece of the puzzle then I can run it.

Champion is expensive. I know you boys with anything other than a Mustang or Thunderbird have a really limited market for parts. I understand why you would have to go to U.S. Radiator.   I was rather shocked at 800.00 for a Mustang.  NPD used to offer Modine, which was an OE supplier to Ford. Because I am not in the market I didn't pay a ton of attention while browsing through the catalog for pricing, but I remembered it was about 349.00 last time I did notice. They also look OE. Perhaps US bought Modine out.
It's still highway robbery for a replacement core with the current hotbed for muscle cars and their restoration.

Modine is still an OEM supplier. Just had a Modine engineer here a few months ago to bid on a retrofit radiator/CAC/Hyd oil cooler with electric fan package for some of our equipment. I don't think you buy direct from Modine, pretty sure you'd have to go through a dealer. Someplace like NPD or similar might be contracting with Modine to have stock appearing parts built.

As auto manufacturers and now even a lot of HD companies have gone away from copper radiators it's getting more expensive to find correct replacements or even get your old rad recored.

The champion radiator that they sent me was $214 according to the champion site.  I just want it to fit.  I could make one fit but I dont have the time at home right now with 3 small kids. the local radiator shop quoted me $600 to recore the original radiator. I thought that was a bit on the steep side.

The us radiator fits great.  Dropped right in.  Definitely expensive though.  535 shipped.  If you dont want to mess with making an aftermarket aluminum one fit I would suggest a radiator from these guy. Especially for a 1965 galaxie.  There seems to be more options out there for the other years of the galaxie.

They are rip-off artist. I would have checked a couple others.  I agree with you, the market is limited with your vehicle. The good news is that you wound up with a high quality unit and hopefully will last the lifetime of the vehicle.
