Replacement radiator

What are you guys using for replacement radiators.  My stock one needs to be record and will cost $600 locally.  My as well upgrade if its gonna cost that much.

Personally, I think U.S. Radiator is the best there is. They have several different options to choose from and the quality is second to none.

I got an American Eagle (very American-looking box and Eagle) about 4-5 years ago for our 64 Gal, about $200.
Aluminum, car runs 10-15 degrees cooler, total bolt-in from brackets to trans cooler lines.
I painted the tanks black & nobody even notices its in there.

I got an American Eagle (very American-looking box and Eagle) about 4-5 years ago for our 64 Gal, about $200.
Aluminum, car runs 10-15 degrees cooler, total bolt-in from brackets to trans cooler lines.
I painted the tanks black & nobody even notices its in there.

I've bought American Eagle radiators for a few projects and for the money they're pretty hard to beat. US Radiator is good, very authentic looking and you have a lot of core options, but you also pay a premium. Hard to go wrong with either one.

you can get a Champion aluminum radiator for under 200.i know they are cheap ,but i put one on my car about 3 years ago and my temp has never been over 190 in any situation,and it fit like a glove.all i did was dropped it in and hoked it up

On the Falcon I use a Summit dual core aluminum with 1" cores.  Works good, but you'll have to totally engineer the install.  It's generic at 31" x 19".

I ended up ordering one from radiator supply house. Supposed to be a drop in radiator that will take the stock fan shroud. Well see what it looks like when it gets here.

Does the 63 have the same dimensions as the 64 radiator?Mine is a single core original and would like to go to a 2 core because of the 428 engine. And what about a shroud?

If you don't mind Chinese the Champion's are good. Leadfoot has been good about customer service so far in my experience. I bought another one, for a 73-79 4x4 radiator from them for my crewcab and had to exchange it because it showed up with a UPS footprint in the middle of the core and no drama, they took care of it. They work fine and they're inexpensive.

Rock auto does not carry radiators for a 65 galaxie with an fe engine.  They only have them for galaxies with SBF engines and those radiators dont have the inlet and outlet on the same side

How much difference is there between a 64 galaxie radiator and a 65 one. The radiator supply house has sent the wrong one twice now.  Think I’ll just get a refund and move on now.

61-2-3 are the same, 64 is by itself, 65 is different also.

I still have my old 62 crossflow from a '406' I had a filler neck put on it to get rid of the expansion tank. This is for a manual transmission car.
