You ever see this truck Heo? Not an FE but it's definitely old American iron! Not sure exactly what part of Sweden the truck lives in now, but I've seen a couple videos clips of it.

Supposedly that was the first American truck in Sweden. Don't know if it's true, but it's in really nice shape either way.

I have seen some older Kenworth with a confederat flag
a long time ago not sure if it was this one or if it was live
or in some magazine. Nice truck,i realy like it but defenitly not the first
American truck in Sweden, There have been American trucks
in Sweden as son as they started making them i will say
Ford,Chevy,Fargo, International,Mack, White,FWD, GMC,Diamond-T,
Brockway is the ones i personaly have seen
But after say 1950, when Volvo and Scania got the production realy
running, there were few if any heavy American trucks sold here
Ford,Chevy, International still sold some Medium trucks up untill the 60s

I thought that was a big odd about it being the first American truck there. I was almost positive I remember GM selling stuff there since pre-ware at least. Maybe they meant it was the first American big truck privately imported? Who knows. It's a nice truck either way. Not a lot of those even over here that are in nice shape anymore.

If you get one of those you won't have to worry about the plastic car driving retards hurting it in the parking lot anymore!

Pre war it was almost exclusively American cars in Sweden
Ford ,Chevy, Mo par, Had Assembly plants here for both
trucks and cars. Most trucks had Swedish made cabs
Volvo made very few cars each year. It was not before
the 444 they made any volumes to talk about. There was
a few German cars like Mercedes,Horch, Maybach and such
Funny thing i saw a price list over new cars in 1939,A V8 Ford
was much cheaper than a DKW :o For you who don't know what
a DKW is.... small 2 cyl two stroke body made of  wood and cloth
Make your choice wisely. A rolling tent or a real car with a V8 that
seat six, with steel body for less money? i know what i had chosen

But with the Ford you needed a real body guy to fix it, with the DKW you just need an old shirt and some glue and you're patched up and ready to roll!
