Heo,  Mouth breathers and Unibrows?  Was your wife from Minnesota?

No shes from Lappland but i guess its the same thing :D

Isn't that where they do the reindeer racing?

If it is where do I put money down, I'm sure the FE will take the win no problem!

I was att Tobbemeks place the whole day yesterday.
He built a carb for me and we spent some time realy
fine tuning it. The result was realy good crisp throtle
response nice idle good drivability in trafic can idle in drive
forever and pulls like a freight train until
you realice  we are moving fast real fast  no peak no
flatspots just next gear and Continue to pull
Thanks Tobbe for a good carb and a realy nice and educational day

It's always nice when a plan comes together! Should make the drive home even more enjoyable than the drive down.

So that mean you are signing up for a spring race before you head out of town?!

Glad things are going good on your trip, Heo.

Question, because I'm curious;did you take any tools with you at all? I'm wondering if Sweden uses SAE or Metric? I'm guessing Metric, which means standard tools would be difficult to come across if you needed them. Or is the Galaxie Metric, being an import? Never thought about this stuff before.

Yes i emptied the SAE side of my tool wall or what you call it in english in a
shopping basket plus screwdrivers hammers etc and a cordless 1/2” impact
tool if i get a flat tire. This day everything is metric but Volvo hold out with SAE
to 1974, and many things built up to the earls 70s. So you can still buy tools.
But they are more expensive ,
But i got my old Bahco tools. Only tool i needed along the road so far is 1/2” to adjust the
hoodlatch. There was no import versions in metric they were all SAE. I think it is
a better system than metric mayby beacuse im used to it but i like it better

There's been lots of times when I used a 9/16" instead of a 14 mm wrench, or a 13 mm instead of a half inch.  Not ideal, but if that is all you have..... Just have to be careful.

you can also shove a feeler gauge in, or even a towel, to help take up the extra space when you have the next larger metric or English size.  Obviously not ideal.  :)

Starting to sound like FE Reunion Over-Seas Edition! Those FE Fords running around probably scared all the Volvo's into hiding.
