That is a SUPER sharp '63! Perfect stance, beautiful color....and a "no-stick-um" interior fabric :)
Beautiful! Welcome to the forum.

Thanks guys. I actually didn't do the seats, so I can't be blamed for that.  It appears to me that it was done quite a long time ago, when those things were popular.

I bought 2 of Jay's books ( that's a story itself LOL! ) and I've been coming here weekly since this forum's inception.  Thought I might as well finally sign up, although I am no expert of FE's, but I know my own experiences with the problems I had, and learned a lot.

Hi, follow fe owners, newbie here, but not new fe owner, probably like a lot of members here I grew up driving fe powered cars back in the 60s, 390s and 427s ...back than I had no idea what a 427s history would become,or evolve into. I bought my 427 from a friend's older brother from a 67 fairlane, it was a storker, with 428 crank and rods. Had Jans domed pistons, single 4 barrel carb with a aluminum intake,I later traded that single 4 barrel setup for a 6 pack, man that really woke that 427 up.I could go on and on but as you can tell that ole Galaxie made a big impression on me, of all the cars that I've owned that's the one that I'll never forget, even at the age of 62, I can remember it like it was yesterday.thanks for reading my newbie post, Jackie

New member here from Snowflake, AZ. Thanks for the membership! I am an old FE guy that is trying to learn new tricks so I have read all the high output posts on all 58 pages :) I am a good mechanic but not a hotrod mechanic so I will have some questions for more power. Currently sled pulling a 1975 F-250 4x4 with 440/428, built with a complete RPM package, all box stock so I might need more power soon, lol

Welcome to the forum. We'd love to see a photo of your truck. I have some friends that ran a Cammer powered Ford pulling truck 35 years ago, was always a fun sport to watch. I was also through Snowflake, Az. about 16 years ago on the way back to Minnesota after visiting friends in Phoenix. We had to make a stop in Show Low, Az., hence the reason for being off the interstate. Very beautiful part of the country. Good luck. Kevin

Snowflake, Arizona...talk about an oxymoron ;D
Welcome, Nick. Nothing like sled pulling to test an engine build. At full throttle/full load, it's like a dyno pull that lasts for 20 seconds. That'll find any weak links in the system...lol

Kevin & Doug, thank you for the welcome. You guys have some nice equipment. Here is a pic and video if I can do this right. Both are of the same pull, turn your speakers up and listen to the 47 year old FE sing :) 16 mph and 5800 RPM, I would like to get that up to about 18 and 6200, the 385 series are tough to beat. Humm, I guess the file is too big and not sure how to down size. If you want, go to U-tube and type in Tremonton Truck Pull under Nick Isaacs, sorry :(

Hello All, Figured I should introduce myself here, I've done lots of reading but just signed maybe 1 week ago. I've not owned a running FE car yet but have a 64 Caliente I've been working on several years. Shooting for a 2015 Spring rumble. Will show some photos when get it together. Wimbledon White, Red interior, and of course a 427. I don't say much, just trying to learn what I can! Thanks all..............Al
You're ahead in a Mercury......all the way

My real Name is Heiko Junga and i am from Germany living in a small Town named Merzen, near Osnabrück in lower saxony.

Now the interesting stuff:
I have my 63 1/2 Galaxie since the end of 2006 and its a rolling Restoration.

Edelbrock RPM Intake with 600cfm or 750cfm Carburetor (depends on rearend ratio).

It had a C6 Transmission, but currently i`m swapping to an Tremec TKO600RR 5Speed manuel Transmission.
Then i will test the old Cam and a new Cam (Comp Cam Magnum 282S) but i still  need the solid Rocker stuff.

Welcome Heiko!  I get to Germany once or twice a year on business and visit customers in Dortmund, Oberhausen, Hannover and Hamburg, so I will watch for a 63 Galaxie in the area  :D
