We are painting the chrome on the side of the Comet and started to lay them out one the side of the car, it is fun to watch some one that does this for a living and is good at it, I will try to post pictures tomorrow I hope it turns out like I want it. Leny Mason

That looks great, Leny. That's a real art form to paint trim and make it look real.

Wow, Leny!
That painted on trim looks great! Glad you're getting toward the end of your project.

I took the taillight housings and peripheral chrome pieces for them, and the headlight doors to the chrome shop yesterday. A thousand bucks! Geeze pot metal is expensive to chrome. Taking the rear panel trim to be polished today. At least a '65 Cyclone doesn't have belt line chrome the length of the car like a '64. My Cyclone has a stainless molding at the bottom of the rocker box that goes between the front and rear wheelwells. It's held on by plastic clips that are held on by rivets coming out of the body. The plastic clips are not reproduced. Go figure!

Anyway, your car is badazz! Hope the cammer acts the way you want it to. Big power for sure. I ran a 8-71 on my 454 incher for years in my Mustang and they're violent as hell. Have fun!

Thanks I went with 3.25 gears to take some of snort out of it so maybe won't be so violent on the low end, It will be a hand full anyway. Leny Mason
