First leg of journey completed
400 km-248 miles completed
only misshap clogged floatvalve
when i had a few miles to the destination
and vaporlock in fuelpump on a
cruising.I had a jug of water so i
cooled the pump down and got the
car started . Checked valve adjustment today
a few needed slight tightening.
tightened all hoseclamps and exhaust manifolds.
No leaks, checked the plugs looks fine slight trace of oil
on nr two. Put on a fuel filter cleaned the carb was full
of...Mud in bottom of floatbowl
16 mpg highway driving at 60-65 mph. Discovered i had
no headlights. Some relays some previous owner put in had
gone bad. fix that to morrow then we continue

Congrats Heo, great to hear that your efforts are paying off! Enjoy your week in Lycksele and do not be afraid to continue another 1000 miles to the south when it's over ;D I'll be home after the 23rd if you feel like giving the ol' Gal a real road test   ;) By the way I received the video, looked and of course sounded great  :D Now you and Erica have a great vacation!

Say Heo! With vapor lock, those stories about a fellow w/o water whipping it out and pissin' on the fuel pump are true! Ask me how I know this! LOL

I have to turn home, I keep filling the fuelfilters with mud
after a few miles.  And it sucking air somewhere, must be
some problem with the tank armature. Changed the hose
from tank to fuel line, inspected the fuel line, new hose from
fuel line to pump, new pump. Still foams in the filter and sudenly
falls flat on the face of fuel starvation and filters empty
And getting worse lets see if i have to put a gas can under hood
with a hose in to it to get us home

Engine running perfect though when it gets fuel
Home and steam out the tank and repair the armature
and trye to get rid of the stumble when i hit the pedal
Its a known problem with street avengers they say

I'm finishing up the galaxie for technical inspection . We have that biannual
on cars older than 30 years, annually on cars newer than 30. But from May
2018 50 years and older don't need that. So last one for this car :D
Dough sent me some fuses so i got the brake and backup lights working. And
had to change one turnsignal and highbeam indicator bulb, lubed the high low beam
switch got the horn working. So if i only can find the battery hold down clamp now
i should be ready for judgement ::)

I'm glad I don't have to deal with any of that inspection crap here in Ohio! They used to have roadside inspections where they just pulled you over randomly at a check-point, but they quit that years ago. Too expensive, I think.

Battery hold-down? We call those "rubber straps"  ;D

i can modify it the way i want without demodify it before each inspection
To be honest i have not inspected my daily driver for....i think 6 years now
Each tec is 50$ the fine is 150$ so i have saved 150 so far :D
