A look at the "new" Harland Sharps

Got my set of rockers in yesterday. Since we really haven't seen much of them I thought I'd give you a close up look.
They're blue because it was a set that was left over from their stock from producing for the other company (which I forget who) and they gave me a good deal on them. I'm diggin' the blue anyway because after all it is a Ford.

Those look real nice, Marc. The only thing I would have like to have seen would be a "hat" or clamping deal for under the shaft bolts, similar to what is on the hold-down bolts. Still, it looks like a very nice middle of the road set-up, in between the T&D Race and something like the Oregon system I have. Good score getting a deal on them!

Edit: thought you were talking about the hold down bolts to the head, not to the stand.
I figure since they are in a saddle and its a solid shaft, they figured they didn't need 'em.

Gotta thank my brother for that. Turns out he and Randy have known each other for quite awhile.
I did talk to Steve on the phone about getting an extra set of pedestals to play with modifying them for more hold down power.
But I'm gonna run these as is for a while and see what happens first.

Sweet setup Marc. I like the blue also. Because Ford, and my favorite color is blue. 

I don't think there will be much to see once it's apart being a solid shaft and all, but wouldn't mind seeing your pics.

Here is a photo of the rocker by itself I took at PRI. The typical bronze bushing. It has a full groove in the center of the bushing and an oil hole in the rear of that groove leading to the adjuster. I didn't see a second oil hole in the front going to the roller tip, so I figure they must have an oil groove cut into the rocker body and oil passes under the bushing to the roller tip.

Sorry for any confusion Marc. I prolly coulda worded it better. I did see the external oil hole.( looking at outside of rocker body) in person and your photo/ I did not see a second hole in the bronze bushing that leads to the roller tip, only the rear facing one going to the adjuster. That is why I assume there is a groove under the bushing that leads to that oil hole at the roller tip.

So the oil comes up the push rod and then the adjuster is banjoed and then the feed to the rocker bearing
then out to the tip?
