427 Truck makes bangshift once again!  I stop by for my daily "fix" and was surprised to see it this morning.

Finally got truck moved into main shop where I can actually get at it. Not so cramped! Hoping to get back on it in morning . .

Any guesses to weight the way it sits? Also front rear bias. What will it weigh when done?

Goal was 3650 done but dont think I will get it that light. Would have needed Aluminum block and who knows what else.

My Boss 9 460 block 572 is being assembled as of last week. I have only one more item to order and that is the TD rockers. I'm going with the Boss 4500 Intake and a 4500 single dominator carb, 1050. https://i.imgur.com/g1YQTCz.jpg  Btw, the car is a 1966 mercury comet cyclone and it is in paint. I chose the Ford color Ruby Red Metallic.

Like I said the car is getting sanded for paint. I would like you advice on a couple of things. The following is a picture of the mustang 2 front end. How can I beef up the front of the frame for this motor? https://i.imgur.com/zArLs2s.jpg

Secondly, what kind of rear system would you recommend to get traction? Four link, 3 link, cal tracs etc. I definitely need to beef it up as well. I will also be installing a cage which should help. Thank You!  I do have this pic of the car.

Very cool! With the upper apron supports, crossmember etc it should be pretty good as is. You could always add some 1 1/2” or so DOM tubing from firewall forward but don’t really think it’s needed. What’s intended use? You could also add a support bar in Engine bay across shock towers or from firewall area to shock towers to help stiffen it up.

Finally in a spot where I have room to work in it.

now trying to find proper spot for the Reservoir/pump for the fuel system and exactly how to run wires, best place to mount ignition box etc.
Hoping to have it fired for very first time within 2 weeks time.

First time I've seen one of those water controlled vacuum advance units. How exactly does that work, and how do you keep the water in there? 8)

That's cool you made Bangshift. The truck certainly deserves some coverage!

Its actually a vacuum controlled oil pressure control unit operated by the pcm to keep the perfect Oil Pressure at any rpm. It plugs in in place of distributor. Its ran wireless back to the timing control unit that sits under dash. Therefor I have perfect oil pressure and perfect timing at any given RPM.
