after reviewing this a few time and rechecking the dome height, that this is a 520 inch short block, with 4.350 bore piston and 4.375 stroke.that combo does have an effect on swept volume over a standard 427.the little dome is .215 high and 4.1 average dia top to bottom,so that makes a cylinder volume of 41 ccs minus the valve notches,of approx 8 ccs.for a total dome volume of 33ccs.
1)also,did the sohc blocks have a highter deck height than a standard fe?
2)and are most sohc heads 120 ccs or so?
3)i have stock ford aluminum that i would use on this,or maybe some dove heads if i can get it repaired.
4) pistons are set up for pin buttons, can the be machined for normal wire locks or spiral locks?
