Just an FYI post. Please be aware that after Sept 8th there may be a very serious, like 50% tariffs on our used parts sales between our amazing countries!.  I have sold and shipped from Canada to the USA for 30 years but things are changing quickly!!!!. I am in the midst of a parts sale with parts in transit(already in the USA)from Canada to Illinois to a fellow (very understanding)FE lover!. I had an awful time , doing everything right with the shipping company , only to get hit with a tariff charge. Pay it or we will either charge you storage per day on your package or dispose of your package and charge you for it!!!. I was at the least, shocked!!. The person at the UPS was zero help  and said that UPS was now a franchise like McDonalds and didn't give one youknowwhat what happens after you pay the shipping charge. I went to them for help after getting an email less than 12 hours of scanning and loading my parcel into the truck that if i did not provide commercial/export sales information/documentation for the parcel I would be charged storage by the day for the parcel or the package will be disposed of and i will be charged for that cost!. I paid the tariff charge to make sure the buyer got the parts but wanted to let all of you know, selling our parts will not he easy moving forward!. FE's Forever!!!...... John

Thanks Dan... It's a great deal for someone that has a use for it.  That term "clutchless" is used by some racers, yes. I always "tap" the pedal between shifts myself. Yes there are replacement parts still available....Cheers!

Thank you for reassuring my curiosity Brent. Lots of "newer" little build details ( thin ring packs, better head/chamber designs, roller cams, stroker combos) seem to produce great rewards,  bringing our beloved dinosaur engine into the future!!..... John

My lazy bones found the answer on Google, along with a calculation to figure out the reduced spring rate. I'm  not big on tech, but google is very helpful at times. The answer is definitely YES, the spring rate will be reduced as the mass of the valvetrain ( referring to the valves/springs/retainers is reduced.....still learning.....

I am swapping out(Edelbrock RPM heads) the edelbrock supplied 3/8" stem valves for 2.15/1.65  5/16"stem titanium valves along with a lightweight beehive spring/tool steel retainer. I am curious if the great reduction in the weight can/does affect the valve spring pressure??. Or does everything remain the same, just easier on the rockers or easier higher RPM's?. Thanks...

Yes, I have often heard the early cruise o magic is also referred to as FMX ( which is very similar but actually a later transmission than the cruise o matic.

They look like a set of  "Performance World "(Canadian version//Edelbrock knock offs). Othan a laser etched PW on the end of the head there are no real markings on the heads,  snd those obviouslybeingpainted will hide that. I have a new set in the box. That's my best guess....John

Sorry to Jerico went under but with the additional transmission options out there these days I'm not sure why I am surprised!. Any idea if anyone  bought them out?, where did all the jerico inventory go??. Just curious?.
