Thanks: will call you tomorrow evening. I can drop them off sometime in the next month and discuss my ideas.
Great to have a local contact. (120 miles) but Weldcraft could do them in Michigan but a high price and shipping on me.  All others seem to be retired or out of business.
Eric Vaugh and Stockton Wheels seem to be closed. Others I've found on HAMB are closed as well. I'm ok with your welder since I'll probably drill and bolt the overlap for added strength.

The wheels on your ERA Cobra. Are they Compomotive or another brand? I've got a set of the Compomotive wheels, but they have a 4-3/4  (Chev) Bolt pattern. If yours are Compomotive what is the BP?

I didn't realize there are 2 or 3 "crow's feet" styles (Thanks Kevin) Here are 2 other types I've got. Also, the D4TE block date.
The C5 block I said was an old style since there is a window in the main saddle support. Just realized that the window is caused by the cross-bolt boss.
 I've got a 3rd type but couldn't get a good picture today.

Block has a date of 1964 and day of 9 but cannot tell the month. Would someone take a guess?
Block is C5AE-A and main saddle supports are the early style and not crow's feet (reinforced). It is a DIF block.
No other special info.

FERoadster here (now). Just got home this evening.
I was in Parker Colorado (near Elizabeth Co.) for the past 2 weeks and saw your message but couldn't reply because I didn't have my password. Message did go to my cell phone.
I will get photos tomorrow of each side, the front and rear bulkheads and the date code, I will also take a photo of the cross-bolt bosses and crow's feet area.
I'll post them on this thread.

Photo of the sonic sheet.
Edit and a correction to my first post. Since I've had this block for about 10 years I did not realize it's +60 not +40.
So looks like a bore to 65 over would be safe? Then it would require custom pistons.

Still looking. My computer hard drive crashed about 5 years ago and I lost a lot.
Think I may have a paper copy but still checking

Couldn't find the sonic test it this morning, but I know the thinnest cylinder is 0,107 so I figured to take it to 50 over that cylinder would be at 0,97.
Quite sure that all the rest were around .120. The thinnest was either #4 or #8.
I'll look for the chart this evening.

I've got a C5 block that has been cross bolted but is +040 and needs a slight cleanup.
$550 Plus shipping.
I'm in Brookings Oregon 97415

I've got at least 6 extra rocker assemblies. I'll take a couple apart and check for roundness.
It will be a day or two. I think they would fit into a small flatrate box.

As Frank stated some of the C5 blocks have the cross-bolt bosses like the C4 blocks. I've got a C5 that has been cross bolted.

I've got an early (1858) EDC 4V intake here in Brookings Oregon. It's been here for almost 20 years.
Free but shipping costs might be too high. It is about 8 pounds lighter than a normal CI intake.
