FE Technical Forum / Re: 428/C6 no block plate?
« on: January 19, 2024, 10:06:58 PM »
Looked at my flex plates and they have quite an offset from the ring gear to the crank. Would they still turn if the flexplate was inside out? All of my engines are on stands or sitting on the crank flange down. I've got no immediate way to check if one would even fit without hitting the block.

Not as interesting as Jays Calliope motor but still non-FE.

I've got what seems to be a banjo steering wheel from these model years.
Would like to be in contact with someone who would know about them/wants to buy one.
Pictures attached. Excellent condition just needs paint. Pictures attached. Also have a 1933-40 locking ignition coil. (free to someone)

Ricky: I've got at least 20 FE distributors. Ford. Motorcraft Mallory Accel and others. How do I figure out which spring you need?
Free including shipping.
Saw your wanted for an FE block on HAMB, but I'm to far away. It would be free except shipping.

Offy Trans adapter #0603
I sold a 3X2 Edelbrock intake to him. His friend is replicating a 1960's 36 Ford dirt track car FE and an early trans.
Please message me if you know of one.

What about the Aviad Cobra style pan? Expensive but large capacity and baffled. The builder of my 427 CO put one on for me.
Would it fit a Mustang?

I've got a 2022 F250 FX4 XLT, CC, long box and am entirely satisfied with it. A few small glitches in the 15 months I've had it but nothing major. 6.7 with a 3.31 rear
I pull easily 21 MPG driving 70mph on I-80 while heading to Colorado. Driving over 70mph the mileage drops about 2-3 MPG. The 10 speed trans is fantastic. While on the freeway I drive in Eco mode.

I asked this on the Old FEForum but didn't get a reply. I know there are Y-Block folks here.

Neighbor down the road (only 10 houses in 1-1/2 miles) has a 1956 T-Bird he upgraded to a 312 with Ported CI heads and  BT Intake.
He called this morning and is looking for a high volume fuel pump since he is getting fuel starvation at full throttle. He is using an aftermarket Holley (Brawler) carb with dual pump and Mech. secondaries 600CFM.
He specifically asked about a 4918 pump for a FE and said it will fit a Y-Block. Looking here the 4918 was superseded by a 6974 are those available? Can a FE fuel pump ne used effectively on a Y-Block?

FE Technical Forum / Jay: Possible VC style for your production

Fellow on HAMB just got a near pristine 61 Starliner. He does not have the Thunderbird Block lettered VC's. I've got an excellent set of Chromed ones (peeling chrome) that he wants to buy. But before I sell them do you want to get a mold? Not sure if anyone re-pops these
