What's nice about the tool is that it locates in the seal bore and centers on the crank.

I thought the seal went in from the back? How does the tool locate on the seal bore?

Why is it that a Bosch O2 sensor will last 100k-200k miles, and probably 15+ years, in a new vehicle, but seems to fail fairly quickly in any aftermarket setup? And these cars are typically not being driven in snow and rain. It seems odd to me.

I would think it has to do with the power up protocol. I used to use an Innovate LM-1 and never lost a sensor. Used to start engine then immediately power up to avoid thermal shock.
Lost my first Sensor on my Holley Sniper a couple of months ago. I think that was thermal shock. I gave it two primes on a particularly cold day so the sensor would have been close to fully heated before I hit the key. That one lasted 8 years. I suspect the OEM's have better control on the heat/start protocol. I also suspect the OE tables are so well dialled in that unless it threw an engine light you probably wouldn't even know if you shat one.

European one looks a little smaller. Not sure about the Brazilian one.

We have them here in europa Opel Record with 4 cyl or Comodore with 6cyl

Don't think they are quite the same car Heo. Similar though for sure.

As Bart said its a 1968ish through 71ish Holden (General Motors) Monaro. Same as the last pic. Came with 6 cylinder or small block V8.

I got fooled by that 32 roadster for a bit too Rory. Quite liked it up until that point! The Cleveland was made here until the early to mid 80's and was by far the most popular Ford V8 in these parts for a long time. But that's 40 years ago now and Windsor based are probably ahead in popularity for a 'hot rod'. All the factory type stuff from the era usually still have a Clevo. The night I was there the outside parking was for American cars only so no local content in the outdoor photos. Autodrags are often referred to here as 'Adelaide hubcaps'. There's a lot of cars in this city that still run them.

I did my own and can be seen in my rebuild thread here;

https://fepower.net/simplemachinesforum/index.php?topic=7720.0

Hands down one of the best modifications I have done. The car has never really been set up to handle with bigs and littles etc. but this has made so much more difference to the confidence I have putting it into corners. It is predictable, more stable and feels more planted. I would venture to say that before anybody considers suspension upgrades on a unibody Ford (especially pillarless coupes) they should install chassis connectors. It made that much difference.

Well it is FE but not technical so thought I'd put it here. No idea how it took me 12 years to find this but thought it was too cool not to share.

Don't shoot me but when I have had no money I have welded some individual teeth with a high nickel electrode and ground/filed them back to shape. Lasted fine foe many many years.

Used to run a blue when I was carbed. Super hot day, tooling around slow, it started making weirder noises than usual but I limped home. The magnet glue had let go. Glued them back on the case with high temp silicon and the thing ran for years after that. Used to pull it apart every once and a while for a clean out though, just in case.
