Electric water pump
«

Hello I am looking for some suggestions on how to wire in an electric water pump. Is there some way to hook it up so you would know that the pump is working if the engine is running? Could you use the the power wire to the coil to turn on a relay for the pump or could this interfere with power output to the coil? Electrical is not a strong point for me so any suggestions would be appreciated

You can't run anything from the coil + other than the coil. If you want to have the pump turn on only when the engine is running, use a relay with the trigger coming from the alternator stator terminal.

If you have an electric fuel pump you could use the same method you use for that.
