The shop that is building mine offered different wall thicknesses for my consideration. They had .083, .093 or .095, ( I can’t recall exactly), and .125. The last shaft I had made was .083 wall. The new one will be the middle thickness. The .125 might only be available in a diameter larger than 3”. The new shaft will be seamed steel. I’m going 1350 joints on each end. As stated above the aluminum ones tend to be bigger diameter. That may not always work with your driveshaft loop.
