Ricky , I roll mine in carboard. Then find a box that is snug fitting to the already rolled head. box it up each head separate. I have never had a issue doing them this way. Thanks Lance

I have a lighting fixture store 5 miles from me. They have long skinny boxs that the fixtures come in. Perfect for heads.
They are fairly heavy cardboard and about 8 feet long.
I wrap each  head  in bubble wrap and insert in the part of the box cut down for one head and make a cap to cover the end.
I do both heads this way.
No problems so far.

Thanks Greg .... all good ideas

I wrapped the heads in heavy duty mats, then 2 layers of heavy cardboard with 2 layers of foam in the ends

10 lbs of wrapping each head ..lol .... only added $5.00 versus a bare head

I get skeered when I ship heavy parts

Worked at a PC repair shop for 6 months, watched the delivery guy throw one of our boxes out of the truck onto the parking lot

Was asked to help out at Best Buy a while back redoin the store at night
One employee said the guys unloading trucks would throw all boxes onto the floor then laugh if they heard glass breaking
That was when monitors were CRT

Cardboard pour tubes for concrete work great for shipping heads.

Yep, heavy cardboard Sonotubes (TM, for trademarked, I think) for concrete pours work very well.

I have received heavy parts like finished heads bolted to a piece of 1/4 particle board and then inserted into a carboard box. Gives is a more stable base that won't shift or crush due to weight. Granted the wood adds some more weight.
