I have been looking for an NOS one for quite some time. I used to run one in the 390 I built for my Highboy. It's a damn good all around street cam.

I agree, we ran one in our 76 4x4 short box, great manners and helthy.  The truck had a Performer 390 and an Edelbrock 600, would run with my 270H, PI and a 735 in my 71.  If we would have put a real intake and carb on it, it would have likely out run me by a wide margin

Here is the page out of my '81 Crane catalog. it's a pretty mild cam, by today's standards.

Maybe you could have a custom one ground but, it only has a lobe lift of .297. I looked around a little and couldn't find a SL cam, with that lift/duration but, you could come somewhat close with a hyd cam. Especially if you use the 1.73 rockers.

The numbers for that Fireball cam looks a lot like the Oregon Cam #624 solid flat tappet cam that I have in my 59s 428CJ. .528" lift, 228 @ .050" duration. I chose that cam due to the great manners a similar Cam Dynamics "Stage 1" solid flat tappet cam that I ran in my old 70 428CJ 4 speed Mach 1. Good vacuum, good idle, ran mid 12s at 111 MPH shifting at 5600 RPM.
1978 Fairmont,FE 427 with 428 crank, 4 speed Jerico best of 9.972@132.54MPH 1.29 60 foot
1985 Mustang HB 331 SB Ford, 4 speed Jerico, best of 10.29@128 MPH 1.40 60 foot.
1974 F350 race car hauler 390 NP435 4 speed

I just put one in my 390. In the process of changing valve springs from the break in ones, but its feeling strong so far.

Crane can grind me one, but they are out of FE cam blanks and don't know when they will have any... I am screwing together a 352/360 and want to duplicate the original cam specs.. Werby thinks the Fireball is almost an exact duplicate.. I am going to talk to Oregon about theirs.. Was hoping someone had the Crane on the shelf looking for a home.. Even a used one

All major cam grinders are out of cast cores right now and have been for months because of COVID.

However, if you want a duplicate and can wait, I can have something ground for you to match.  I have them ground with extra lobe taper for break-in purposes.

I think the AA cam is a match.

They grind them in house.  I bought a "B" cam from them a couple of years ago.

Royce according to the 1960-1964 Ford Car Parts and Accessories Text catalog the C3AZ-6250-AA cam was first used on the 1963 427LR it had the upside down A BA id code on it,according to the same the 1960-1962 352,390,and 406 special used the C2AZ-6250-A cam with the cast letter K stamped letter A id code on it,and the 1963 406 special used the C3AZ-6250-D cam with the VB or upside down A B id code on it,my guess is that the C3AZ-D cam is the AA cam on a core for use with a thrust button. My catalog is obviously a revised version since it lists the C8AX cams for HP use.I've seen earlier documents that list a C0AZ part numbered cam for the 60 352HP and the 61 390HP so it appears that by the time of the revision of my catalog the original cams were out of stock and being serviced by the C2AZ cam.A friend of mine had a 1960 360 horse sunliner that he retrieved from the same shop that it had been in since 1962 from the 2nd owner while it had an isky cam in the engine he got what he is sure is the original cam with extra parts that came with the car.He had a very reputable machinist that had done some of the work on the car back in the 62-63 timeframe check the cam out and he was convinced it was in the .480 lift range, they didn't map the events but just measured for lift,he also noted the id code but I don't remember what it was off the top of my head,I can check with him if you want or have him contact you directly if you like.

I ordered a Holman Moody AA cam..  I have an original 61 390 375 cam I am getting measured.. If I had a real 352 360 cam i would measure that too and compare
