And his Dentside hop up...

He should have at least tried on of the popular Truck cams that are known to work...

Latest Roadkill garage on Motortrend on Demand.

(pretty sure you have to pay)

Took a 74(?) long bed 360 truck and “hopped it up”. Talking about PV clearance, coil bind, picked a comp 252 (hardly worth the effort) and people have been shoving Crane 343901, 343941 and 343801 (and similar) in them for a decades...

He noticed the aftermarket double roller, and even commented that the cam may not be stock. I would like to know if the new one was smaller? The performance increase sounds like what just a. 4brl and intake do. If you watch RK,and RKG Friburger Seems to at least acknowledge the FE as a good one. I don’t think he’s called one a boat anchor on video. He just doesn’t have the tribal knowledge most of us here have on FE’s.

We all know he killed the whole project by not putting headers on it.

Yeah that is true, and he did say he didn’t know anything about 360’s - seems like one of his people could have googled it...  :D T think Comp even owns Crane now, so they could have still gotten the ADV.

I did not the failure to follow up on what was in it...

Was thinking same thing...

i have seen episodes where he admits he does not know a lot about the Ford FE engine and his sidekick Dochich has refereed to some of the builder on this site as having the best knowledge base on FE Engines

I keep hoping they will build something other than an LS, Windsor, LA,  SBC or BBC.

It would be really cool to see them pull that 360 out, put a 4.25  rank in it and top it with some good heads, something better that the “go-to” barley better than stock Edelbrock units.

Then see how it held up against the 460.

I too was disappointed, but kind of figured I would be. He is unfamiliar with the platform as he admits. But hey at least it was something different. What would probably be the biggest surprise to him is the fact you could have done nothing but the headers and had about the same or better improvement imho.

I have almost the twin to that truck in a 73 but with a 390. (currently with a snapped off oil pump shaft  :'()

I gave my grandpa my credentials to Motor Trend because he's been stuck inside his senior living place for the last few months. I suggested he watch the engine masters show and roadkill garage....I generally like roadkill less because it seems like the same trick done over and over again. My grandpa came to the shop this weekend to "supervise" us build the 428 Mustang motor, I asked him how he was liking the shows. His comment (he's generally pretty glass half-empty) he says: "I can't stand when they apologize for running out of time or not getting the right parts in time, if you have to apologize to me don't even air it".

I just watched that episode while I was eating lunch....Frieburger apologizes for running out of time and not getting the headers done. Had to laugh. My grandpa sure calls it like he sees it.
