Still need a 28 spline 9" 3rd member ... 3.50, 3.70 or such

The pile of 9" junk keeps getting larger

I could use a 3.50, 3.70 or ??

Prefer it not to have teeth sharp enough to shave with, deep pits in the bearing surface

Howls as the wolfman, been driven cross country with no fluid, been submerged in salt water for years, etc

1/2" backlash and metal shavings packed around the insides

What is the ideal unit you are after? 28 spline 4 pin Trac-Loc with 3.50 gears? Do you need a case? I saw a 3.50 gear set here the other day.  I know I don’t have an assembled case with the differential that you are after but maybe a collection of the parts.

On FB Marketplace, there is a guy in Melville, NY with a 3.73  limited slip, but You would have to install it in your center section....

Where are you located?  I think I have a used 3.75 (not 3.70) geared 28 spline center section with an Auburn limited slip in it.

I am in the KC area. A long time ago I used to live in Houston.  I've went to Galveston a lot.

Or perhaps a 3rd member that needs a little work

Can you tell me about the 3rd member as to its shape and if you have run it and such please ??

How much you were thinking of asking for it ??

EDIT..... do you know if this a cone or plate LSD ??

Auburn cone. Driven about 5000 miles behind a 520 ft/lb 428 on street tires.  Never had had problem...….except one time....hit it and looked back and saw a one wheel peal.  Maybe I was on an incline or turning slightly, who knows?
