Thanks for the pics.  Gotta love that interior, I think those are the colors I'd order.  Too bad they don't ceramic coat those cast headers, no doubt they'll last a long time though.

Nice truck Chris. Are you interested in selling the 7.3 out of it? I could trade you for a 428 or a 6.8 V10 to keep it driveable !

Our 7.3L is here, came in a super sweet package  ;D

Sweet truck, I like the interior. Only 1 thing keeps me away from the dealers looking to get one. Lack of $$$ Enjoy it and keep us updated on how it does in the real world.

No trades LOL.  Took a Texas day trip to Fort Worth on Saturday for some shopping and dinner.  376 miles, never stopped for fuel until we got back, and still had an indicated 148 miles to E.  Averaged 12.6 MPG total, saw as high as 14 driving around Fort Worth.  That includes running I-20 there and back at 78~80 MPH.  Picked up a new 125cc quad for use at the track, stopped by the Arlington Summit store, ate a nice $$ dinner.  Yesterday I hooked up the big trailer to set up the load leveler hitch.  Set the tongue weight at 1700 lbs, trailer around 9000ish - no car in there.  Took off for a test drive - yea, we got it going on now.  No problem accelerating that load.  Should be around 12K fully loaded, so if the TnT makes this coming Saturday it'll get the full pull test.

I can’t link to it, but saw on FB that they now have a CNC ported set of 7.3L heads that went 400cfm.  Looked to be fairly high lift, pushing .800” looking at the graph.

Thing is you can get a 650HP 5.0 in the 2020 F-150 by checking the appropriate boxes.  A friend(who shall remain nameless) just ordered a short bed, single cab F-150 shop truck with the ROUSH option, 10 speed auto, all the bells and whistles, 331:1 locking rear, dual exhausts, and not a single badge or emblem to give the truck away.  It is brutally fast, and idles around with AC like a stock 5.0.  Cost out the door was under $40K for the complete packaged truck.  Talk about a sleeper.  Joe-JDC

I'm not sure how brutally fast anything with a 331 to 1 rear gear will be. A sleeper I can believe, full throttle 7200 rpm in OD might keep up with a snail!!!  :o

I think it depends on what you're going to do with the truck. If it's primarily a work truck and will tow then the extra money for a 7.3 godzilla is worthwhile. If you mostly drive to 7-11 and occasionally tow then the F150 is a better value and pretty fun. I've towed with a couple 5.0 F150's and they do fine, but it's definitely more work then in a big block or diesel truck.

Pretty incredible with factory castings, granted I’m sure that’s a fairly aggressive CNC program.  Interesting to see cam specs and the whole curve, if it is even close to streetable with that 7600rpm peak

You can't even call that a torque curve. It's darn near flat. A torque line?
Next, they need to develop a twin turbo setup. See if the block can handle 2000+ hp.  :P

So, looks like tq peak at 5600, with a hp peak at 7600....2000rpm spread between peaks is a pretty good combo from what I've seen.   But doesn't 550ftlbs seem kind of light for a 790hp deal?  It's not terrible at 1.23 per ci, but seems other combos I've tracked have been higher....but none had a 7600rpm peak so not sure how that compares.  Granted, if it has a cam setup for power adder, likely has wide LSA and perhaps some additional exhaust lobe that could hurt peak torque quite a bit.

It’s really an incredible deal for what you’re getting, I’d say other than the cast pistons it’s easily the same or better than what you’d get on a $12-15k crate small block, and easily what you’d spend $15-17k for an FE.
