parallel main oil galley

  Has anyone ever herd of running a parallel main oil galley in a center oilier fe in the lifter chamber by drilling & pipe taping at each end? Maybe 3/8 steel tubing. Might help those #4&8 rod bearings live a little longer? Stop laughing!

There have been priority main oiling modifications done to center (top) oiler blocks.  They are quite the engineering feats.  They get posted here or on the other forum from time to time.

What gets lost is the purpose of the Ford sideoiler block.  Same for oiling system modifications.

I remember seeing that in Clevelands, for like Pro stock racing days.

I can't see the advantage in anything other then a top of the line, super high rpm engine.  Too many build these days that run for a long time without all that mess.

I don't know if it's a good thing or not, but the $$$$ steel crank being crossed drilled 4&8 rods are being fed from 4&5 mains and theoretically is being fed from #1 main. But that's getting a little overboard. :)
