« on: July 02, 2019, 04:18:32 PM »
Sorry in advance if this has already been covered but could not find searching. Does anyone have int/exh flow numbers for stock ford high riser heads? looking into a couple different combinations and would like to have a flow to compare. Thanks in advance

I have ported several sets of HR heads recently, repaired several, and reworked a couple for folks.  Stock the -F heads flow ~ 285/190, but most will flow 330/230 with a basic good hand porting.  2.250"/1.725" valves will increase this some and a really good porting with someone who has experience with the short turns can get 350/260 cfm.  I recently filled the floor on a set with epoxy and changed the size to MR, and with a bit of finesse, they went 370/260 without a tube on the exhaust.  I don't have the flow sheets handy, but the HR has one of the best exhaust ports of any FE head that I have worked with.  Joe-JDC

Wow, that is impressive that you filled in nearly 25% of the opening and got that large of an improvement.

Those heads are going on a 482 with Jay's HR adapter and 351C tunnel ram that I worked over.  Should be a beast.  Joe-JDC
