engine limit strap location?

How do you all feel about me attaching my engine torque limit strap to this hole on my aluminum heads. Is there any concern about cracking the bolt hole? should I build a bracket that attaches to both the bolt holes on the front of the head and attach my limiter to that? The car has a 5500 converter and will launch on slicks so it may be tested. I love not having shock towers. I just installed the passenger side header in 20 minutes and the drivers should take about the same. Jim

Yes, make a bracket that uses both bolts. Use Heim joints on either end. Never has hurt my junk.

Nearly same setup in some iron heads, been running that way for years without problems. Heim ends make it nicer, mine are build from 3/8 all thread with a hardware store aluminum screen door adjuster and some lock nuts.

I used this hole also for 20 years on my Edelbrock Heads although my strap is bushed at the bottom (leaf spring bush). Can be seen in this pic.
