Werby, thanks much for posting.
Car has open crites hood but is not sealed to carb. Driving wp and fan,(flex). Open cutouts on X pipe,(2.5”). Car not scaled, full interior, stock bumpers. Driver is 175. I thought these cars were 3400 but perhaps you have it in data bank?
I will be using East Ludlow, Ma weather station for correction input. 77’ elevation.

Yup car is in there already from 2018 BSD (how timely its this weekend!)
From last year's thread you ran
2.01
12.70-115mph
https://www.fordfe.com/how-much-more-gear-do-i-need-t161255.htmlThe Gonkulator & others felt the car should run at least a second & 5mph better, maybe more.
It sounded like you're shifting the way I do (slow), plus short shifting, no traction, etc.
To compare apples-apples, I ran the Gonkulator EXACTLY the same as the 2018 BSD match, but just with this new engine, shifting 400rpm higher since the new engine peaks 400rpm higher. That's still way short shifting.

2.01
5.42
8.20 at 91.1
12.47 at 118.7 back door, 117.6 at BSD
That's .23 sec and 2.6mph gain from just the engine.
In optimum trim, as I Gonk'ed for the old engine last year, with 4.11 gears (within .02 of optimum)
1.63
11.37 at 120.0
With the same ideal setup, driving, and new engine, it Gonks to:
1.60
7.04 at 98.0
11.05 at 123.5
Knockin on the door... .37 sec and 3.5mph gain from the new engine, in optimum trim.
Adding a 4.57 gear due to the higher revs helps more now:
1.53
7.01 at 96.8
11.01 at 123.9 any decent air or good wind gets into the 10s.
