One more tip. We found long ago that any Chrysler V-8 (Dodge, Plymouth) with a 383-440 often had terrible issues with cooling system rust as the cast iron used was prone to rust buildup even with proper care and the right anti-freeze.  The thing we learned was to skip at first all the rust remover chemicals and just keep flushing the entire system with water until it came out clear....or as clear as one could get it. This could take a lot of effort to keep refilling, warming up, dumping the water and repeating the process. Then and only then would we add in chemicals designed to remove rust and start over again.
