Its at least 8 weeks and probably longer - since all the parts that are normally inventory items at my suppliers seem to be out of stock these days I cannot imagine they'll push a custom order head casting to the front of the line.

At this point in the year - at one time or another - certain suppliers have been out of:

H beam rods
I beam rods
crankshafts
heads (that's me...)
hydraulic roller lifters
intake manifolds - both BT and Edelbrock...
oil pans
oil pump pickups - (but not at the same time as the pans...)
rocker arms
Mallory metal (to balance cranks)
head bolts - yes head bolts!
valve covers
damper spacers
blocks

None of this stuff has been at all predictable - you find one missing item and then discover another key part is out.
I really believe that manufacturers cut way, way back on people and inventory during the economy crunch - and now that things are finally coming back they have no way to respond to the growing demand...  Right now I am using three large warehouse groups plus manufacturer direct on many parts and still waste a huge amount of time chasing stuff.

Right now I have cranks...but have been out of pistons for a while.
Pistons are due to ship end of this week/beginning of next.
Scat just confirmed they had I beam rods but were out of H beams.
I found H beams at a regional warehouse & bought all they had - - just wonder whats next?

We have put Victor, Tunnel Wedge, Blue Thunder single four, and Performer RPM intakes on them.
The Victor is easiest, but they all require some port work to match up.
