I have ran several different FEs in my 78 Fairmont, but the current 427/454 and several previous 428s were pretty much the same, other than the bore size. All numbers are of the best runs

Other wise, both engines used the same parts, stock unported C8OE-N iron Cobra Jet heads with stock valve sizes, modified Ford Sidewinder intake, 1 " Moroso open spacer with a Holley 780 vac sec crab. Ford truck Duraspark distributor , MSD 6T, Edelbrock water pump, Oregon Cams #175 solid flat tappet cam with dumbbell lifters, modified FE 4x4 rear sump oil pan, 2" headers with 3 1/2" collectors.
