A hydraulic roller cam with Harland and Sharp roller rockers set the preload at 1/4 or 1/2 turn past zero ?

Standard travel lifters?  One full turn.

FYI on an FE, 7/16-20 adjuster and adjustment directly at the pushrod

- 20 threads (turns) per inch on the adjuster

- 1 inch divided by 20 to solve for 1 turn = .050 which turns into your preload amount after zero

Rocker pivot style like a small block won't work the same, but easy breezy on an FE
