My dad uses it. I run 1 gallon of it and the rest water. It’s like 52 dollars a gallon so we drain it carefully it’s like gold. Not exactly sure if it runs any cooler but supposedly it’s NHRA legal. Normally I drain my coolant before I go to the track and run like a water wetter but I think your allowed to run this stuff at the track. If anyone knows for sure let me know
There is no NHRA rule that prohibits running any kind of antifreeze at the track. Conversely, there is no NHRA rule requiring any particular kind, or brand, of antifreeze either. An individual track may make their own rule prohibiting antifreeze, or requiring water only, and some might, but it’s not an NHRA rule.
Mind you, I’m not suggesting it’s a good idea, or recommending it, but it’s not something most tracks even ask or check for in tech inspection. This question comes up all the time on various “Drag & Drive” forums, especially those for events run when the weather turns cold.
The NHRA rule book is available online now days for anyone that wants to check.
