Out of all the TFS builds, I think this produces the most torque I have seen. Most of them seem to be in the 600-630 range.

Any ballpark on pricing and timeframe for the med riser heads

Can you inquire via our website contact form or email address. Being that Jay and us sell similar products I promised him I wouldn't push sales on his website, I only intend on posting info here.

Very pretty. Is there an intake in the making?

We're talking about it. Doing some investigating. The intake has been a common request. Need to see if we can get one made and keep the price in a range that people think is reasonable. We're also continuing to work on our bolt-on rocker arms setup. Trying to drive the cost down on that.

I have info on our website page. This stuff is a tad outdated, but it'll give you an idea. Once we get these heads worked through I'm going to completely refresh all this info so it is as accurate as possible. That's just the nature of doing some design tweaking as we have worked through the process.

We 3D printed an intake port with the pushrod tube in the port to simulate the affect of the tube in the way. So the port design we went with factors that in. It's not as big of a cfm loss on the flow bench as you might expect.

Hi all, just a quick update post to keep everyone updated and let you know we haven't taken our foot off the gas with the cylinder head project. We are finally at the point where we are happy with the castings and think we have made all corrections necessary to move forward with production.

The heads pictured here are "pre-production" sets that still have our "Interceptor" branding on them. The final production heads will have factory casting numbers instead. We took the whole day Friday to prepare all these pre-production sets that we have and figure out any tooling that we might need.

Some of these pre-production sets of heads are for us, to do testing and bolt on dyno mules. Other sets of the MR heads will be for sale to people that are OK with a few of the nuances have been updated in the final production versions. I believe all the TP pre-production heads are spoken for already.

Jay, I have contact info for the GM over at PAC if it would help. I'm sure he'd find this situation intriguing and want to jump in and help. If you want it, send me an email and I can reply with his info.

It's surprising I know what you're talking about, but we have one of these so I know what you're talking about. I asked the same question years ago.

If it's the same intake we have, it's the intake pictured in this thread, just without part #'s. I was told ours is likely an early production or precursor intake to the C5AE-9425-N intake.

Joe, I have an edelbrock performer rpm intake for it. It'll look almost the same as it did previously, but I think I'm going to leave the intake unpainted this time and now I have a Hipo air cleaner for it. I think the trick flow heads should work well! I had Jason Anderson go through them and fix them up so they don't back up anymore. Nothing wrong with the trick flow heads, just feels a little wrong to bolt someone else's parts on it when we make our own that flow better. I'm just getting over-eager to get the car on the road this spring. We're getting over the final hurdles with our heads, so there's always a chance that those are ready before I drop the engine in the car.

Will you be using your new heads on this build ?

No sir, our heads aren't quite ready and I'm getting impatient. Just want to see it run and drive. I'll likely switch the heads out when our MR heads are produced. There's a chance this engine makes it into the car with our MR heads on it, but as of right now I'm just bolting a set of TFS heads on it.

Short block is done, got the timing set on and degreed in this weekend. I think next weekend I'll get some more parts bolted on it, see how far I can get.

It's a 445", pretty common to what everyone is doing now. Hydraulic roller cam. Nothing too trick about it, just a solid engine to drop in the Galaxie.

I know Browell will make you dang near anything you're looking for. Has to be closely coordinated and really have to know dimensions.

I personally have a goal of making a FE to TH400 adapter. There's so many more options there and less expensive. If I were to pick off a bellhousing project, I'd lean towards making a TH400 rather than a C4.

The one we have on our race car came through QuickTime. They hadn't produced a batch in a while, but I'm sure if they saw a demand stacking up they would go ahead and make another batch. I would try and call Joel's on Joy transmission and see what he knows about that. I would venture to guess that he's the top buyer of those bellhousings.

Our Mustang and Cougar both have this style of cross brace on them. I looked and they don't seem to sell it for Fairlanes and Comets.
https://totalcontrolproducts.com/p-1612-mustang-64-70-cougar-67-70-hardtop-g-connector-center-support-standard-torque-arm.html

We have experience with this style of X brace and can vouch for this type of subframe connector being beneficial. The cars are much more solid with it installed. The middle X un-bolts. I have driven the Mustang without the middle X in it and the passenger door window will pop out of the seal if you make a hard pull with the car.

I haven't jumped into my '66 Fairlane project very far yet, but I have been kicking around ideas in my head. I saw an Australian company who makes these:
https://www.ssdperformance.com.au/products/display/23-chassis-connectors-for-hk-t-g-sedan%2C-ute%2C-wagon-and-monaro--

I was thinking about templating a set and seeing how they might work out. Our sheetmetal shop at work has a laser cutter and they could easily make these.

The only problem on a Fairlane or Comet is the back seat foot space that would interrupt the subframe connector. I need to see how I'd deal with that.
