1967 XR7 GT, That cam was picked for my set of dove medium riser heads, definitely different flow, runner size and chamber. Not sure how much that affects it but I was told a different cam would help. For what it's worth, I am extremely happy with the results, hopefully the track times back it up.

Finally finished the 427 for my mustang. It was an older build, high compression 427, 428 crank, Dove top end. I was tired of the race gas pain so wanted pump gas. The stroker kit was from Blair, Scat forged 4.25, molnar rods, diamond pistons. R and R in Minnesota did the machine work. I had picked a cam from Bullet, solid flat tappet, for my Dove heads. In the time after, the trick flows came out, so I ordered a set from Brent, he had them ported a bit, and set them up for my cam. I will say we were nervous about breaking it in, due too the big lift, so he used beehive springs, titanium everything else, and a light spring pressure. The intake is a Dove single plane with a dominator top welded on.
So basically it is a 488 cube, 11 to 1, pump gas, not ideal cam, 1050 carb. I will post numbers after some guesses.

I'm finally getting to the valvetrain on my trick flow heads, wondering who everyone uses for pushrods?

Exactly. With the adapter the carb stuck out the hood. Now a boss 429 scoop will clear with the air filter.

Since Dove only made a few dominator flange intakes we welded this one up. Had a summit adapter milled 3/4" and the intake milled 3/4" then welded them. Smoothed out the plenum with a air powered mini belt sander and various carbides.
Wondering your thoughts on performance?

Absolutely love it. Wife went on the Ford site to order one and site was down all day. Supposedly the are going to be on back order for awhile.

I purchased my toploader already built about 15 years ago, with all the Dan Williams goodies available. I wouldn't call my car a drag car, maybe more hot street. I like to race it on the track a couple times a year. It has called tracs and before the engine upgrades it did a 1.5 60ft and pulls the front wheels about 40 feet. It hooks and leaves hard. The engine upgrades were adding 30 cubes on crank, more head cfm, huge cam upgrade. Diamond Pistons, molnar power adder rods. It is set up for a small shot of nitrous, maybe 175, but probably won't spray it. To be honest I've been thinking about a jerico for awhile, as the cost seems reasonable and pretty much a bolt in deal.  Also the slipper clutch would be great, but have no idea on setting them up.

Yes, I will be making closer to 700. Also starting to get sick of breaking stuff...  4 to 5 thousand rpm launches are hard on it. Thinking it's on borrowed time.
