Some pretty cool video that was linked on NHRA's site. A few shots of other Fords too. Love the sounds.

Cool! Danny On-The-Gas Ongais was the hottest F/C driver that year. The big blue Ford won over 90% of its match races (not quite as good as Dyno Don's 1967 Eliminator I Mercury Comet SOHC F/C) but it did win 11 of 12 major meets (unheard of and better than any F/C....ever!). Yeah to Cammers!

Mickey and On-the-gas were quite a pair...Mickey's biography is an interesting read. This link is from  Amazon://www.amazon.com/Mickey-Thompson-Tragic-Racing-Legend/dp/0760340153/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1362966508&sr=1-1&keywords=mickey+thompson+the+fast+life+and+tragic+death+of+a+racing+legend
One of the most innovative hot rodders who ever lived, IMO!  LSR, drag racing, Indy cars, and off-road not to mention all the speed parts!  Oh yeah and tires...

On-the-gas had a long career in drag racing as well as Indy cars. He was always exciting to watch!
