Happy Birthday to a true legend...
« on: January 27, 2021, 09:41:11 AM »
Happy Birthday to Ohio George Montgomery today! As a few here know, I'm a Mopar guy that has been welcomed by some great FE people, and one of my gearhead life highlights was being able to meet George at PRI, thanks to Jay. George is one of the nicest people you could ever meet, and still has a passion for this stuff.

George is awesome.  Still involved with the industry and sharp as a tack.

Happy Birthday George!  He was a big help to me with the SOHC stuff, and the SOHC article I wrote for Hot Rod, and has been very encouraging on my cylinder head project.  Great guy, fun to talk to, and an endless source of good information.

The fact that so much brain power ends up on the (excuse my language) chevy side of the ledger causes me to appreciate those such as Ohio George even more than I might have otherwise.

Had George and his son build a boss 302 strokerfor me a few years a go.  Went to his home/shop and picked it up after Columbus swap meet. Was a real treat to meet and visit with them. And the engine has performed very well
