Wood Brothers '63 Galaxie in the NASCAR hall of fame!
« on: February 01, 2013, 09:28:31 AM »
Here is an article from the Speedtv website about Leonard Wood's induction to the NASCAR hall of fame.  A replica of the Wood Brothers no. 21 '63 Daytona 500 winning Galaxie will go in with him!  A heart warming story also, of how Tiny Lund ended up being their driver for that race only, and won it for them!  Btw 427-powered Fords finished first thru fifth in that race... If you don't know the story, I'm not going to give it all away - you'll have to read it!  This stuff really captured my imagination when I was a youngster...

Enjoy!

Very cool! Love those '63's and I miss my CA built boxtop that I had for many years.  :'(
