Has anyone used rolls of 3/8 Nicopp for fuel line?

I have used aluminum and steel, both with success, but I have some long runs to make for my EFI conversion and heard NiCopp was more durable than aluminum, but easier to shape.

I need to buy a coil though and do not own a straightener, can I unwind a Nicopp coil to look pretty or should I buy a straightener?  Aluminum I can make pretty nice, but would rather something a little more stout

I use it all the time. very easy to bend. If you unroll it, I guess you can keep it straight although I'm not that fussy. You will never go back to alum.

Ok, this is pretty 'shadetree' but I've used this several times.
Clamp a short piece of 2x4 in a vise, drill a hole through the 4" side (I know, it isn't really 4" but drilling through the 'long side' works best for me) that is just a tad larger than the OD of the tube.
As you unwind, pull the tubing through the hole and it will come out pretty darn straight, NiCopp pulls through easy and will only need a bit of massaging when you get the length you want.
Pretty easy to manage the roll instead of unwinding a bunch that you don't really need.
This has worked for me with the smaller dia of NiCopp when I'm building brake lines.

I roll it between two boards.   The wider the board the better.    I haven’t used it for fuel line yet, but it’s on the “next” project to do list.

Thanks guys, is it softer or stiffer than aluminum? I need it to run in a long visible run and don’t want it hanging either.

I recently re plumbed the brake and fuel lines on my 59 Ford with the NiCopp. Really nice to work with, bends and flares much easier than steel tubing, although it is stiffer than the Moroso aluminum tubing that I used when I plumbed the Fairmont. As for the strength and durability of the aluminum stuff, the 1/2'' Moroso aluminum tubing is the same piece I installed in the Fairmont in 1987, so it`s been on the car for well over 30 years with no issues. I see no reason to replace it anytime soon.
