To think I gave a whole $1800 for mine back in 1992.  Geesh.  Mine is a true 70K mile, one owner car with ZERO rust anywhere, and I mean nowhere.  Still had clear vinyl on the seats, big white mudflap on the back, original bias ply 14" white walls, etc.  Couldn't get any nicer and they couldn't give it away back then.  Today everything is "patina" perfect(aka rusty POS) for stupid money.  WTH??

I have a picture after I put radial tires on it and removed the big mud flap.

Larry, was your car an original Ohio car? It's really hard to imagine how it could have lasted 28 years before you bought it, without getting rusted somewhere if it was an Ohio car. Being an old lady car, I'd guess it was well cared for, but it would have had to have been parked inside and never driven during the winter for it to end up that way. Ohio loves its salt! ::)

Bought new at Dutro Ford.  I have the warranty card in the front of the manual.  Im pretty sure it must have garaged all its life.  The chrome was perfect, along with all the anodizing.  Those bumpers are currently on my black car.  The old man passed and the lady couldn't drive a stick so the brother in law sold it to me.  He told me that his BIL was quite the stickler on keeping up on the car.

That wagon was pretty cool when it was first posted.  Good luck getting that kind of money for it, no matter what kind of upgrades they did, as they didn't put $40K worth up improvements.

"Sold For $47,750 On 5/25/20"

Stupid is as stupid does. With taxes and fees, it'd be well over $50k.
