352 Daily Driver

Replaced all the bearings, ball honed and reused the 1966 Ford rings, oil modifications and smoothed out the valley. The heads have over a thousand miles on them, if 900 of that was not towing I would have an empty mpg to report. So far it is 6.5 to 9 mpg depending on what's on the trailer. Topped out at 107 mph with the other heads and SP2P. 2nd set of new tires. Does this qualify as grassroots or just back woods?

Grassroots coolness. Good choice in heads. Cam?

"Back woods" would involve hauling around select squeezins from your hidden still. If that is the case, please add me to your delivery route. Take PayPal?

The cam is the early CJ camshaft AUX and is a little too big for this build. I wanted to use a 67 390 2V camshaft but it had an exhaust lobe .007 below tolerance. I suppose the used factory camshaft has added to the grassroots theme.

would it get better mileage with all the plug wires on ? I guess you have that off to show the number on the head ? I like it , my kind of build with the money I have.
