Shifter knob adapter bushing

Is a quality shifter knob adapter safe ??

It would be for an automatic shifter

Shift handle 7/16- 20 ...... shift knob 1/2 -20

Or perhaps someone has a shift knob with the correct threads I could purchase ....

Don't pretty much all shifter knobs nowadays come with various sizes of adapters? I know the Hurst T handles do, and they are always needed when adapting to an older shifter. I have a couple vintage Hurst handles and they are threaded to fit the old Ford shifters, but the new ones are made to fit a variety of sticks. I replaced the original Ford Hurst handle a couple of years ago with a new Hurst that had the roll control button, and it came with a variety of adapters. At least that's been my experience. No issues with it at all.
