Back in the later '60s, I managed to scoop up most of the parts for the original-style Cammer----with the plugs in the supposedly-perfect spot in the combustion chamber. This resulted in the plug wells being in the bottom edges of the cam covers. Testing proved it to be the technically-perfect place, but the dyno tests showed only a minor improvement in horsepower. As part of the re-design, the plugs were moved to the places we are used to seeing them. The re-design found more than 150 horsepower---and the old parts ultimately went into the dumpster.

A friend told me of seeing them in the trash, and I inviegled him into bringing me as complete a set-up as he could find. I hung the resulting hardware on the wall in my garage---as wall art. When I went back to college to finish up, I gave the stuff away.
