Honing rocker arm bushings - best way to clean if you don't have a parts washer?

That honing residue is worse than anti-seize. It gets everywhere. I don't have a parts washer. What is the best way to get them clean so the residue doesn't get hung up in the rollers and pin holes? I want to default to the old stand by, cans of brake cleaner but these HS rockers cost too much to clean the with the wrong stuff.

I use a large plastic paint bucket and some mineral spirits. I use a parts cleaning brush and a toothbrush to get in the bushed area. Works well. I finish with a shot of brake cleaner and compressed air. The brake cleaner will not hurt the anodize.

I once put a set of aluminum heads in the dishwasher, worked excellent. Caution though, wife was not impressed

Go old school. Gallon of gas is cheap compared to a case of brake clean. But agree with Nightmist finish w/blast of brake clean and air.

2nd vote.  Could then spray good with WD-40 and blow off with air.  WD-40 is part solvent, so it works well.

If you need to go cheap, Kerosene is less flammable than gas. We used to use if for all sorts of general cleaning 50 years ago...

And then fill it with gasoline.
