Did you guys actually type any in the form ?? Or TBD on most ?
I hand typed in all the information. Having done this before I kind of knew what to expect and I practiced ahead of time on notepad. As I have gotten older I have a tendency to transpose letters in owrds(See I did it right there!) so I tried not to out run my brain.

My son told me that there were over 400 people on the waiting list this year (as of registration day), which is quite a bit more than previous years. If that's true, then this may be the first year that the field is maxed out on participants on opening day.

Last year we heard there were close to 1000 people on the waitlist by summer, I know I saw people with numbers in the 700-900 range, and like Jeff said, when it was all said & done they only got about 360 participants that started, less than the previous few years. A lot of people have figured out signing up on the waitlist “just in case” even though they don’t intend to go. That’s what I did the last couple years. Had I won the lottery I would have been there with my new 2019 Cobra Jet lol.

I think the odds are better Hot Rod will go out of business before September than not making it into Drag Week.

He has a Uber ride to the event if he wants, but haven't heard if he tried to enter.

I did not enter even with the kindness of JERICO.After turning an eight dollar pizza to a
carbon disc last night,it may be better that I leave DW to those that are capable.

Try that with 2 boxes of Pizza Rolls. 1:30 AM preparing for a magnificent feast! You wake up when the smoke alarm goes off, look in the oven at your 2 dozen Kingsford charcoal briquettes, and you're still starving. So you try to cut one open to see if maybe... See Steve, I used to be a bachelor too.  (:

So I am on the wait list 101-200 they said.  So if I’m up at beaver springs I’ll just shoot over to see if I can get in .   So now for my question What have you guys seen fail on the FEs during this week so I know what extra things to bring I.E. rocker arms push rods etc.
Thanks

Like pretty much any engine on Drag Week, most spare parts center around the valvetrain, like rockers, pushrods, springs, and in the case of the FE, the shafts (on stock type valvetrains). I carry spare shafts, rockers and pushrods, but have never needed to do anything to the engine in the 2 times that I took the Mustang. Your engine is a whole different animal though, so I think I'd have a spare for everything in the valvetrain, except for the cam of course.

I also take a few pieces that I know you can't readily get in parts stores anymore, at least not immediately. I take an alternator, distributor and water pump. In my thinking, it's easier to take the spares, which I already have, than to pay thousands of dollars to have something overnighted. Ok, maybe not thousands, but it ain't cheap! Any more than that and I figure I'll be done, because I'm not one of those guys who will thrash to rebuild an entire engine in one night...on the side of the road. :P

Transmissions are another problem area for a lot of cars. My car isn't really powerful enough to break what I have, but your twin turbo setup may be another story.

I have a set of extra hardened rocker shafts and Dove rockers  not sure if pushrods I have are the same length
The alternator is a FORD 140 amp I can get at any parts store   I guess I’ll rebuild a steel water pump to bring, I don’t turn this engine over 6250 rpm. I actually just put a 3.0 gear in it ! Thinking valve train should survive ?  But you know how “luck” goes    Didn’t think of the distributor. That’s a FAST dual pickup,  need to think about that one !! I do have spare injectors a spare aeromotive fuel pump
