« on: January 16, 2020, 04:01:38 PM »
I dug out a old summit catalog from 2002 from my stash, and i was looking at tires.i found some MT indy profile tires size L60-14s.they were 27.5 inches tall with a 9.5 inch wide tread, part number MTT1036.I wonder if they are still available?

Labeled as "not available"

Might find similar - https://www.turbinecar.com/tires.htm

A while back, a buddy bought some "Pro Trac" 275/60-14 bias ply tires that are supposed to be the same dimensions as L60-14. Not sure if they are still available, but they actually hooked up pretty good on his 12 second 383 powered Dodge Dart

14's are very hard to find, now a days. this is the largest I could find, at the site that I use.

This is precisely why I put the 15 X 7 10 spokes away and bought 17 X 7 and 17 X 8 10 spoke Scott Drake legendary wheels.  There are so many more choices available for them and high-quality rubber choices. The offset allows me to run 245 45 17 on the front and 265 40 17 rear without looking like rubber bands on rims.

M/T dropped there 29x12 Sportsman tire.  That is the tire I've run on the back of my '69 F100 for decades.  I'm trying to make this last pair make it at least the next 20 yrs!!!

Is 1979 a while back or since then? Anyone buying 14 x 10 wheels since then is rather silly. Be like buying a new 8 track player.
