That 69 Cobra in the four wide picture (kind of hard on the neck!) is later Mopar racer Dave Young, I remember him saying that.

I have been searching old dragstrips so long that Minnesota Dragways and NorthStar were both still intact when we started. Both have been built over long ago.

Dave took the photo. Not sure who's Torino Cobra.I know its not Mike Patnode's car.
As far as I know,Mike still has his Black Fastback...Thanks Dean

Yes, Dave Young is the photographer of that relatively famous 4 wide Minnesota Dragways picture, but that’s not his Torino, Dave’s was a fastback. Here’s Dave’s Torino.

Kevin Rolph

1967 Cougar Drag Car ( under constuction )
1966 7 litre Galaxie
1966 Country Squire 390
1966 Cyclone GT 390
1968 Torino GT 390
1972 Gran Torino wagon
1978 Lincoln Mk V

Nice photo of Dave's car with the MPH dial on the drivers window.I can't remember what the over/under
was back then. You could run the ET but lose with MPH.You did have 66 feet (?) in the trap after the finish
to correctThey should bring that back and pitch Tru-Start. ::)
