Shelby used 'Traction Masters' on GT350s, but they were mounted above the axle tubes. The front mounts were also different, if I remember right. They didn't show from the side or rear. (They work quite well---I used them on both my '64 Custom/427 and my '65 Mustang GT/271-289.) The Custom would swap lanes from the violence of a 1-2 power-shift causing rear spring wrap-up. And the rear springs were 'Heavy-Duty' as part of the mandatory suspension/brake upgrade when ordering the 427.

No, Shelby used/sold under ride bars for the 67 and later. 65 cars had over-ride bars. I have the under-rides on my '67 GT500.

you might could look at some of the bronco companies for some over ride bars . I made some for my 77 bronco , like the ones that are for sell and they work very well for axle wrap up .

AMK has the correct U bolts flattened and with a waffle pattern.  The reason I asked about the bolts is because I had an issue until I returned to the flat bolts. They no longer walk under load.

Keith,
The AMK site lists the 1/2-20 Ubolts as being for a Chrysler. Is that what you used?

I actually used the set in the chassis kit for the Mustang. I think they are 7/16. However, I do have another set out there I ordered for a Cougar because I was going to use lowering blocks. I'll pull them when I get home from Chicago tonight and advise on thread.

Hey Keith, Did you find the U bolts?
I bought a generic set of round 1/2-20 U bolts for my Galaxie but now I'm thinking I prefer the flattened style.
