Blair sent this over to see if I could figure how to load it up on here. The only way I could get it done is to load it up on my youtube. Video is blurry, but the sound is nice!

Not my engine by the way

We did a 4.750 SOHC crank a couple years ago.  I recall it taking nearly a dozen slugs

That was Andy's crank, I figured if he could do, so could I  ;D  Barry, do you remember what brand that crank was?  Scat maybe?

It was/is indeed.  A Scat billet and custom steel rods from R&R (no longer doing those from what I hear).
We had the clearance the entire innards of that Pond block.
I thought I was the first to go that big on an FE, but the guys at Scat said they had one in their records from "once upon a time"...

Wow! Now that is some FE thunder. Nice work, Blair! Thanks for putting the video up, Mike. Waaay sexy looking header too. I hope the proud owner of that engine comes on and tells us about it.

I've been thinking about offset grinding my 4.375 crank for a while. Anybody tried that yet?

Might be a little scary Kevin !  You would need to go to 2" crankpin, which means re-heat treat.  The overlap would be reduced......not sure the RPM crank can stand it.  Might be better to do a custom forged Scat, and then sell what you take out.....
